We trenched inside a national park for the Coast Guard

Subcontracted under an electrical contractor on a US Coast Guard telecommunications upgrade at the summit. Our portion was to cut the trench to spec, then backfill and compact once the conduit was installed.

Working for the Coast Guard and inside a national park meant background checks and full insurance before anyone set foot on site. The job went smooth, the clients were happy — and they have hired us again for another one on Molokai.

We follow your contractor's plan

Electrical or plumbing, we work to the plan of whoever needs the trench and dig it to spec, so everything complies with local county codes.

That matters more than it sounds. A trench dug to the wrong depth or backfilled the wrong way is a failed inspection and a second excavation, and it is your money both times.

Drainage control — what people are really calling about

Usually it is water somewhere they do not want it. We meet you on site, look at where the problems are, work out what the water is actually doing, and then come up with a plan. The answer is different every time:

Buried pipe with area drains and surface drains to catch and carry it
Sometimes simply re-routing gutters to somewhere sensible
Berms or swales to divert downward flow before it reaches the house

We have helped a lot of people reduce and eliminate stormwater runoff that was doing real damage to their property.

Grubbing and grading permits

New build sites generally want a grubbing and grading permit. Who pulls it depends on whether you are the homeowner, whether a general contractor is running the build, or whether we are doing it directly for you. We will tell you which applies.
